Envision Solar International, Inc. has developed a way to make a solar array into covered parking/shelter areas. They call it a Solar Grove, and some pretty cool pictures are available here. They’ve also got some ideas about creating a community planned around solar power and using solar arrays to create shade in your back yard.

We are drugging the fish …

From the Associated Press:

“Fish caught near wastewater treatment plants serving five major U.S. cities had residues of pharmaceuticals in them, including medicines used to treat high cholesterol, allergies, high blood pressure, bipolar disorder and depression, researchers reported Wednesday.”

The full story can be found here.

This study was funded by the EPA with a $150,000 grant to the researchers. I personally believe we are over medicating our society and focus entirely too little on prevention.

Pictures

This weekend I went out with the intention of finding some horseback riders. Finding none, and not wanting to take video of static objects, I started shooting some stills. Now that I kind of have a grasp on the video editing, I would be interested in learning how to incorporate my stills into final cut.
